I saw Terminator Salvation last night. I liked it better than the reviewers. Its a fun action flick with some nice homages to Terminators Past and an interesting thread about second chances. Being divorced that clicked with me. Not a great, but a good, one-shot movie.

No fire alarms to mention, but I also just saw “Angels and Demons”. In ways this movie was very similar to its predecessor/successor “The DaVinci Code”. I think Angels & Demons has a better storyline, but both movies had good acting, locations and special effects.

I just saw the new Star Trek movie and liked it, although I thought there was a wee bit too much Leonard Nimoy near the end. I guess Trekkie filmmakers feel some insecurity and want characters from a previous incarnation to validate their work.

  • I’m planning to see Star Trek soon. Last time @emailstine and I went the fire alarm went off just as the lights were dimming!!

  • I’m wearing a T-shirt I bought the last time I was in Seattle and it has an image of the Space Needle on it. When I was there I thought the Monorail was so retro. Back when I first saw it as a kid I thought it was so futuristic. Futurism’s destiny is to become retro.
